So, let’s reacquaint the cryptocurrency, what is it? Remember this couple of keywords first: blockchain-based and completely decentralized. As a decentralized blockchain, means it is not governed by any central bank or monetary authority. It is completely maintained by a peer-to-peer community computer network, which is made up of users “nodes” or you can think of it as “machines”.
Why Cryptocurrency is Important?
Let’s say bitcoin, the very first blockchain-based cryptocurrency, was created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. Its value has exponentially increased to a surprising level. Ethereum is similar to Bitcoin, one thing is worth mentioning, Ethereum provides built-in software programming languages, which can be used to write. For example, smart contracts can be used for many purposes, including the transfer and mining of their own tradeable digital token.
Nowadays, you can see more and more internet sellers are beginning to accept Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as the methods of payment, transactions are fast, digital, secure, and worldwide. One other key item to note is that as cryptocurrencies become more widespread, it is the decentralized ledger technology, blockchain, upon which crypto is based, we really believe that is truly a great masterpiece!
